Thriving K-pop Revolution

MUSIC- Thriving K-pop Revolution

K-pop is a newly reformed genre which originated from Korea, that’s why the term K-pop refers to “Korean-pop”. K-pop culture gained attention from the very first trio Korean group “Seo TAiji & Boys” way back 1992 in MBC’s talent show although they did not won in the competition but still they have caught attention from their brand new approach in music with a combination of pop, techno, rock with raps and the rest was history.

K-pop has branched out from trio to a quartet group and even forming up to more or less 13 within a singing group all with singing/ dancing skills and also promoting various styles in Korean fashion.
Those are the 4 composition of a k-pop group which makes it so viral and distinct first their music combination, second is that it is a respecter of genders it can be a group of male or female, third is their sleek or cute movements or dancing styles, and last but not the least their gift of having crazy fashion statements.

Here are some of the K-pop groups emerging and thriving in the business:

EXO- a newly formed k-pop group in 2012. Has 12 members which break up into two subgroups EXO- K and EXO- M. The name EXO was derived from EXOPLANET referring to planets outside the solar system. Their songs are “Angel” from their mama album, “Beautiful” from their exodus 2015 album.

They are a group of four namely CL, Minzy, Dara, and Park Bom. One of their achievement is to be labeled by 2012 The New York Times and considered them as one of the “Best concerts in 2012” after performing at the Prudential Center in New Jersey.

K-pop is indeed revolutionary in terms of lead and sustainability not because of their fame in other countries but because their locals or the Korean’s are the major supporters and truly patronizes their own.
