Stranded on Jennifer Paige’s Music. Reminiscing Those Good Days

We were once captivated by her soothing voice and gorgeous looks paired with to die for physique. She once became the songstress sweetheart that stole the heart of her listeners. It’s been long since we heard from her and while we keep our fingers crossed for her comeback, all we can do is to look back and remember the times when Jennifer can still be heard on the radio and can still be seen on the viewing screen.

Born Jennifer Scoggins, young Jennifer started showing off her promise of having a captivating singing talent by singing at local coffee shops at the age of eight. This now in her 40’s singer was raised in Atlanta, Georgia together with her brother Chance who performed with her during the early exposure she had on those little gigs. At the age of ten, she studied playing piano that broaden her musical perspective.

Her style generally falls within contemporary pop rock genre. The vibe of her songs predominantly consists of bright, smooth and romantic moods. In the year of 1996, Paige met producer Andy Goldmark and the two worked together on putting up Jennifer’s debut album. Come 1998, the said album came into form and was released on Hollywood records.

Her first single Crush was a hit and was able to enter the charts. She was even nominated as Best New Artist and performed at the World Music Awards. The release of her single Stranded is responsible for the name Jennifer Paige be known even outside US. The European and Asian listeners came to know her music especially in countries like of Poland, Italy, Germany and Scandinavia.

It even topped in Japan and became a wide spread hit on the Asian region. Up to this date, Paige is recorded to have four albums released in years 1998, 2001, 2008 and 2012. She also lent her beautiful voice to soundtracks for some TV shows and movies for likes Sabrina The Teenage Witch, Sabrina Goes To Rome, Swiri, Simply Irresistible, Autumn in New York and Grace Is Gone. She even did small acting stints on few shows.

We sure miss her voice and all we can hope for is for another chance to have a glimpse of her unique talent that reminds as the good musicality of the 90’s era.
