Fetty Wap has hit early achievements in his growing career from topping the charts with his catching and infectious tracks and making captivating appearance at Hot 97’s Summer Jam Festival, but this moment is the icing on the cake for his Music career.
The “Trap Queen” rapper is not letting the fame and viral success get to him as he gets emotional and humbly accepted his first ever award. The rapper was given an award by Music Choice’s MC100 Award of 2015.
Music Choice 100 awarded Wap with a plaque for the Most Played Track of the Year so Far for his smash “Trap Queen.” With the award being a first for rapper, he seemed overwhelmed by the trophy.
Wap was so overwhelmed and emotional saying “This is actually the first award I’ve ever won,” he also said “I never won nothing in my life before. Thank you everybody, I’m just going to continue making good music.” that he could hardly get the words out, sneaking behind his fake locks as tears swelled from his throat and glazed his eyes.
In a recent interview with “The Boombax” Fetty said “When you really work hard for something that you genuinely and truly love, and you don’t want it to fail, it’s a good feeling to see it do good.”
But maybe Fetty Wap could not believe that this dream would come to life, the popularity, recognition and the awards. The rapper promised that he will keep making good music in the future for his family and fans.
Fetty Wap’s “Trap Queen” is his breakout single that turned into a massive success and popularity.
“Trap Queen” also peaked at #2 on the Billboard Hot 100. The New Jersey native also received recognition by making the cover of XXL’s Freshman Issue earlier this month.
