Born Andre Romelle Young in 1965, the Compton born artist first started his career by going to bars and watching DJs and rappers perform their pieces in live performances. Stardom came knocking after being included in a musical group called World Class Wreckin Cru.

This project was derived from the N.W.A documentary film entitled “Straight Outta Compton.” The surprise project was announced through Dr. Dre’s Beats 1 show ‘The Pharmacy’ with Ice Cube and F. Gary Gray.
It was in that March radio interview that Dre mentioned the current project that he was in. It was like a sneak peak of his most anticipated comeback, but without really spilling the beans. Dre admitted he tried to keep this under wraps as much as he could until the right time came to finally declare it in public.
The “Straight Outta Compton” film was the last public venture from this artist which earned nods from the people who were able to watch it.

Generally, Tamar’s exposure matches her older sister’s range, and music experts say that this is better provided that she remain in the loop for years to come. Since 2012, Tamar Braxton put her faith on Epic/Streamline Productions for her musical venture, which also introduced the talented singer into submerging herself into concert tours such as the Black Panties Tour (with R. Kelly), Promise to Love Tour (with Kem) and the Love in the Future Tour (with John Legend).
On her second album, Tamar solidified her fan-base in online music streaming upon the release of title track ‘Love and War’, which immediately became a download favorite in 2013.

During the course of her long career, Tamar received a couple of accolades from huge award-giving bodies such as the BET Awards where she won the Centric Award in 2013, several nominations from the Grammy Awards for Love and War (Best Urban Contemporary Album, Best R&B Song and Best R&B Performance) and the Soul Train Awards where she got the Song of the Year and The Ashford and Simpson Songwriter’s Awards for the song ‘Love and War’.
