Donna Summer will constantly be identified as the candid disco queen way back in the 70’s until now. Donna Summer took on the ’70s pop music cohort by storm with her vocal prowess.

In 1979, Donna Summer reinvented herself and overdrawn the so called passing of disco by becoming one of the world’s top hit makers. Her vibrant rhythm and unworldliness impelled her to the top.

Donna Summer is undoubtedly one of the paramount entertainers in the world. In the summer of 1995, she jam-packed the Universal Amphitheater which earned her prodigious reviews by the Los Angeles Times.

In 1970, Donna Summer became an influential music guru, when she launched few of the best recordings of the eon. She will always be tagged as the Queen of Disco although pop music and hip-hop already overtook the market.

Many people didn’t know that aside from recording and performing, Donna Summer is also a gifted visual artist whose works has been shown and sold at galleries and exhibits in New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, Miami, and Nashville.

This talented artist also took on the world of movies. Summer did the OST for Pokemon The Movie entitled “The Power of One”, in 2000.

The in 2003, she released a greatest hits compilation album called “The Journey”.

Summer was also inducted in September 20, 2004, as one of the first artists to belong to the newly formed Dance Music Hall of Fame in New York City.

In October 2004, she executed God Bless America during the second game of the 2004 World Series at Fenway Park, Boston.

Donna Summer earned for herself five Grammy Awards, six American Music Awards, 24 gold and platinum awards in the US, and 19 gold and silver awards in Great Britain.

Donna Summer has flogged over 100,000,000 records which acquired her a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame for her musical triumphs in 1994.

The hottest news is that she will be making a comeback with a new-fangled studio album and she is also presently doing a world tour extensively.

Donna Summer spent 20 years in the limelight as a songster and songsmith, and she will always be an inspiration and a huge influence to so many.
