Songs like “Just That Good” and “We’re Forgiven” take steals at latest day narcissism and disdain to agony, while “Thank You” discloses a genuine appreciation for the smooth pleasures of life.

Co-founded in 1999 by vocalist Alex Band and guitarist Aaron Kamin, the Calling discovered a home during such ready-for-radio rock acts of the early 21st century as Matchbox Twenty, Train, and Fastball.

Alexander Max “Alex” Band who was born June 8, 1981 is an American musician and singer-songwriter, best recognized for his work in his previous band The Calling and their trademark song “Wherever You Will Go”, which peaked the Adult Top 40 for 23 weeks.

The Calling are a influential LA band that drags on its perverted Southern California roots to make their music boldly buoyant and unsettlingly cozy.

“Stigmatized” is one of the album’s touching high points, with its slow-burn energy and moving matter of absolute adoration.

Along with band mate and fellow songwriter Aaron Kamin as part of The Calling, the pair attained victory with the release of their two studio albums; Camino Palmero in 2001 and Two in 2004.

Even though mainly brimmed with post grunge rock, the record evolved into a well-known release on the strength of “Wherever You Will Go,” a love ballad that turned into an unavoidable Top Five hit in numerous countries.

The group shaped in 1999 and released two albums, Camino Palmero and Two, before going on an unfixed “hiatus” since 2005. They reformed in 2013 with a fresh line up. In June 2004, the group came back with Two.

The album had three singles and following videos: “Our Lives”, “Things Will Go My Way”, and “Anything”. However, two faced unsatisfactory sales related to their first album.

Alex then started pursuing a solo career and has played random concerts since 2008 at times being mislabelled and mis-promoted as “The Calling.” They reorganized on August 15, 2013.
