The rise and shine of Lady Antebellum

Thanks to Nashville, Tennessee and the world have come to know the geniuses behind the country musical trio, Lady Antebellum. Started out in 2006, Hillary Scott, Charles Kelley and Dave Haywood set out their journey in penetrating the general music scene through their innate talents in crafting music together.

First contracted by Capitol Records in 2007 after their first exposure through the then-famous balladeer Jim Brickman’s song Never Alone, the career of Lady Antebellum shot through the roof and had been well-received by music listeners and critics from all over the planet.

Lady Antebellum have released a total of five smash albums under their first label — Lady Antebellum, Need You Now, Own the Night, Golden and 747. All of which have matured well enough to be patronized by their growing fan base.

With their fresh approach on contemporary music and keeping country as their main genre, it never has been difficult for the trio to tap the hearts and ears of hordes of music lovers. The first three albums released by Lady Antebellum have been solid platinum albums by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).

The success of the released albums had been validated by sixteen tracks staying longer than usual on the music charts under the Hot Country Songs and Country Airplay wing. The most memorable track that Lady Antebellum is their heart-wrenching ballad, Need You Now, which stayed atop the music food chain in 2009 for five straight weeks.

Just right after their unexpected debut in 2007, Lady Antebellum have received far more accolades from different award-giving bodies and is considered a relevant country music group during that time.
One of the highlights of Lady Antebellum’s career is when they bagged five recognitions and wins at the 53rd Grammy Awards for their album slash song Need You Now, placing as the year’s Song of the Year and Record of the Year.

The streak has been followed by another success as the trio harnessed the Best Country Album award the year after. Some of the most noted recognitions that they have received includes Top New Duo or Group by the Academy of Country Music, New Artist of the Year by the Country Music Association, numerous nominations for two consecutive years, aside from the winning years, for Grammy Awards.

As of last count, Lady Antebellum had reached a whopping 10-million mark on album sales in the United States alone, doing endless in-country tours and have sold almost 13 million digital singles. Lady Antebellum is said to start working for, another album in 2016, and so the long wait would soon be over.
