Hallelujah for Panic! At The Disco’s new video

Panic at the disco vocal

We surely have missed Panic! At the Disco after some months of being lackadaisical at the general music radar. The quartet,, which includes Brendon Urie (vocals), Kenneth Harris (lead guitars), Dallon Weekes (bass guitar) and Dan Pawlovich (drums and percussion) have been seen and heard again on the radio airwaves after 2014’s Nicotine release, which is a first after 6 years. Just this month, the band had continued the streak in providing us quality music again through the release of the music video of their song Hallelujah.

Hallelujah have been originally released and distributed as a Digital download on April 20, 2015. Fans and music critics all over the planet have been jolted by this follow-up from the band and have given their two cents regarding the latest release. Generally, Panic! at the Disco’s Hallelujah received accolades from different chart-listing bodies such as the Billboard Hot 100 where it debuted at the Top 40 spot. Hallelujah is said to be part of the band’s fifth studio album, which is still on the process of conception.

This newly-released single from Panic! at the Disco is actually the band’s second Top 40 single after I Write Sins, Not Tragedies in 2006. Currently, Hallelujah sold almost 80,000 copies worldwide and is still on the rise of becoming one of P! ATD’s best-selling digital content. As of this date, the band is signed-up with music label Fueled by Ramen and rumor has it that the music outfit would be the one to finalize P! ATD’s much-awaited album. Hallelujah is currently being streamed at the 2.2 million times rate.

Lead vocals Brendon Urie had given the real deal on as to why and how Hallelujah was created during an interview, “I mean, I grew up in a religious family and, like, that was a very big part of my life, and still, very much, is even though I don’t affiliate with any specific religion. It’s just, for me, you know, the spirituality of being able to own up to your sins, as they’re called, and take responsibility for your actions really hit me this time around, and so that song really is about that, it’s, you know, taking responsibility for things that you felt guilty for in the past and just owning it, because, now, that’s a piece of you and you can’t get rid of that history, so, that’s really what it was. But it was a chance to, kind of also, you know, there’s a little tagline in there that I throw out to our fans, I like to call them ‘my sinners’, and I’m a fellow sinner, and so I think that’s a little special little throw-out to them.” (Harms, Andy. “EXCLUSIVE: Panic! at the Disco Talk “Hallelujah” for the First Time”)

It was just recently that the music video for the single Hallelujah had been released worldwide, garnering lots of favorable responses from fans and critics alike. Panic! at the Disco is said to be seen in United Kingdom specifically in Reading and Leeds for music fests at the end of August.
