The year 2015 is a year of “mix emotions” so to speak. We were put on a roller coaster ride with a lot of going- ons happening in the music industry. We see the sad departure of one member of our favorite boy band, and then add the bittersweet moment when another one of our long-time favorite band takes their one, last final bow on the stage recently last month.
Even though we say it is “just” music, tears are shed here and there with their most avid fans, who witness how each one of them grows along with the passing years. However, despite of these, smiles can easily replace the frowns when we know how to count the good news.
This 2015, most-awaited albums are, if not yet released, are set to hit the stores (e.g. Jason Isbell’s Something More Than Free, Beach House Depression, and we hope Adele’s 25). Apart from that, Ed Sheeran is currently single (yes, that should mentioned), Riri and Breezy is possibly up to another music team up and Sam Smith and Disclosure collaboration has a title already! Yes, the “Latch Boys” are back with the new track entitled “Omen.”
It has been three years since their first and last hit together on “Latch.” The track has been their stepping stone, then, as they receive recognition worldwide with its success. Despite of the requests, it is only now we get to finally hear about their “future” collaboration. Fortunately, we don’t have to call it “future,” as the track is on its way with the artwork and the title unveiled, which is “Omen.”
“Omen” was the boys second team up and was co-written by Jimmy Napes, who also co-write “Latch.” The track was lifted from Disclosure’s second album called Caracal, which is set to be released this September.
Will “Omen” propel the boys like the one in “Latch?” We’ll have to wait to find out.
