Indie Music is a type of music that is quite complicated to distinguish or brand. The term indie does not presage the word hippy though most of the patrons imagined this to be, maybe because of its origin.

Another thing that you need to know about indie music is the term “lo-fi” this means low fidelity the sound quality of its recording is normally in lo-fi because compared to those who had their labels signed during the 80’s and 90’s who had to do their recordings in a high-end or hi-fi “high fidelity” recording studio, with good sounding microphones, effects such as distortion, and some noise reduction capabilities to which recordings done by indie artists are somewhat on a low budgeted mode.
