The aforementioned musical outfit placed Fast Car at the 167th spot on their 500 Greatest Songs of All Time list. Rolling Stones also attested that this illustrious hit is the highest ranking song that was written and sung by a female who made it to the roster.

A plethora of musicians have created their own covers of this very influential song like Jonas Blue, The Flying Pickets, Boyce Avenue, Amazing Transparent Man, Vertical Horizon, Mark Wilkinson and Elizabeth Gillies. So far, the most renowned certification that Fast Car achieved is from United Kingdom’s BPI wherein it garnered a total of €661,500 in sales.
