Live Life to the Fullest, “I Lived” by One Republic

Music or song is a forceful way of expressing one’s self. A song can send a message to its listeners more than just listening to it. Considering that this generation’s youth are looking for some inspiration and hope somewhere else like music, a trendy song is just ready to lighten up their lives.

Imagine a father who is a famous singer and songwriter so as producer, and not just that, he’s the lead vocalist of the famous American band One Republic. Well, anything better than that? One Republic’s Ryan Tedder’s son, which is a four year old kid, can now cross out his bucket list of “Dad dedicating a song for me.”

The band’s vocalist dedicated there new lively single “I Lived” to his son Copeland Cruz. Tedder was inspired by the late Robin Williams from Dead Poets Society which states “carpe diem” which living one’s life fully and he says universal and applicable to anybody. Touching, right?

Seems like it’s all about Tedder’s son, but it’s more than just that, well, it’s touching, but seriously there’s more. They are also promoting the song, which was released 23rd of September of last year by the way, in collaboration with Coca-Cola and RED.

They want to spread awareness against AIDS through songs. But wait, another dedication is within this song. The music video was dedicated a 15 year old fan, Bryan Warnecke, who is suffering from cystic fibrosis.

The disease is polluting the digestive system and eventually shutting down the lungs. But in the video, it was all spirit for the kid, he’s doing leisure activities such as skateboarding and biking, leaving his disease behind.

Try listening with “I Lived” song, surely, one will be moved on how he looks at his life. Feel the soothing sound of the song and be enlightened, live life to the fullest with One Republic’s “I Lived”.
