Don’t Break Your Heart for The Vamps

As the online world’s capability to make stardom such an easy thing like reciting the alphabet, many aspiring artists are making their names by riding on it.

Videos viral online particularly YouTube, music being listened to, and artists being followed from Instagram to Facebook, aspiring artists are ready to boost their fame.

One of another victim, well, a positive victim is the British pop band, The Vamps. Surely, everyone is comparing every popping new boy bands the presently famous One Direction.

Fans around the world may argue between the similarities or differences, but seriously, these what so called “The Vamps” is a sure talented bunch of boys.

They became an instant hit in the later part of 2012 when they uploaded their song covers, guess where? Of course YouTube, the tube to stardom works at its best again.

Yes, all the listeners have the right to compare or label them to 1D, the reason? They just do sound the same, and never regret that they have the looks.

Back to their voices, The Vamps most famous single and a sure hit is the 2014 song “Oh Cecilia (Breaking My Heart)”, which was released on the 12th of October.

The song belongs to the band’s debut album Meet the Vamps which was released on the 14th of April of the same year. The single was inspired by the 70’s song “Cecilia” by Simon & Garfunkel, which The Vamps’ version features the chorus lyrics of the 70’s Cecilia.

Let’s talk about the video, the band just got a little help from a not so famous, maybe if one doesn’t have an internet, Shawn Mendes, his vocals makes the song a terrific and a lively one to listen to.

The Vamps and Mendes were featured both on a remote island after their ship was wrecked. The boys showed off some of their survival skills.

The song peaked in different charts across the globe such as Australia, South Africa and reached 9th on their native, UK Singles Chart.

The Vamps is surely a band to watch out in the future. 1D or The Vamps? It’s up to you.
