A Grammy Award originally called Gramophone Award, or Grammy, is recognition of achievement by the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences (NARAS) of the United States to identify excellent performance in the music business.
The recording industry’s most distinguished honor, the GRAMMY, is given each year by The Recording Academy. A GRAMMY is awarded by The Recording Academy’s polling membership to celebrate greatness in the recording arts and sciences.
The first Grammy Awards show was held on May 4, 1959, to praise the musical accomplishments by artists for the year 1958. The yearly GRAMMY Awards show brings together thousands of artistic and technical experts in the recording industry from all over the world.
The 2015 Grammy Awards have just wrapped up at the Staples Centre in Los Angeles last February 08, 2015, with a who’s who of famous music gathering to claim awards and cheer each other on the back.
It was a peaceful Grammys than normal, with no massive fuss or stand-out significant occasion. The same old things happened at the Grammy Awards on Sunday night.
Sam Smith was the big champion at the 2015 Grammys, while Madonna, Sia, Kanye West, Beyonce and Ed Sheeran put in astonishing acts and performances.
And Kanye West tried to upstage his own outrageous award show occasion as he “jokingly” hopped on stage when Beck won out over Beyoncé. Lifetime Achievement awards were given to the Bee Gees, George Harrison, Pierre Boulez, Buddy Guy, and Flaco Jiménez.
Here are few of the awards given in the Grammy Awards
